Asaba, Delta State – The Forum of the Senior Special Assistants to the Delta State Governor has issued a scathing statement regarding the recent homecoming of Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, the immediate past deputy Senate President.
Speaking to members of the press in Asaba, the forum chairman Hon. Lucky Dikadi Chukwunedum, criticized Omo-Agege for his lack of acknowledgment towards the exceptional performance of His Excellency Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori in the ongoing development projects across Delta State.
Dikadi expressed disappointment in Omo-Agege’s failure to thank Governor Oborevwori for the numerous completed and ongoing projects in the state, including the flyovers in Warri and Effurun, the dualization of the Isoko section of Ughelli-Asaba Road, Orere bridge in Ughelli South and the Kwale – Beneku bridge connecting Ndokwa West and Ndokwa East local government area, that is ready for commissioning and various bridge constructions.
The prompt payment of Delta State workers salaries and promotion arrears and how pensioners in Delta are now being taken care of in the state.
Instead, Omo-Agege focused on campaigning for the 2027 elections, turning the event into what the forum described as a comedy show.
The absence of top APC appointees from Delta State, including their minister, at the event was noted by the forum as a clear indication of the lack of hope for APC Delta and Omo-Agege’s chances of clinching the APC ticket in 2027. Dikadi urged Omo-Agege’s followers and elected APC members in Delta State to consider joining the PDP to secure re-election in 2027, warning that they may be left behind by the developmental strides of the Oborewori administration.
Chief Abraham Odjighoro, Publicity Secretary of the Delta SSA Forum, emphasized the importance of aligning with the current administration to ensure continued progress and success in Delta State.
