NNAMDI EZECHI AND WIFE BAGS CHIEFTAINCY TITLE IN GRAND-STYLE

At Okpai, Delta State, it was a happy atmosphere on Monday as Rt. Hon. Chief Nnamdi Ezechi, the member of the House of Representatives representing Ndokwa Ukwuani Federal Constituency, Delta State, was yesterday 15th April conferred with the chieftaincy title of Eze-Udo 1 of Okpai Kingdom.

Hon. Ezechi, at the ceremony attended by an array of dignitaries from within and outside Delta State, was bestowed with the Eze-Udo 1 of Okpai Kingdom, while his wife, Mrs. Loveth Ezechi, was also conferred with the Odozi-Aku of Okpai Kingdom title.

The titles of Eze-Udo of Okpai and Odozi-Aku of Okpai were jointly conferred on Ezechi and his wife by the traditional Ruler of Okpai community, HRM Goldring Ugbome.

While Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi and his wife were being celebrated by the people of Ndokwa Nation, with the chieftaincy titles, the federal lawmaker was heavily praised by almost all the dignitaries that graced the occasion.

Some dignitaries that graced the occasion are the Deputy Governor of Delta State, His Excellency Sir Lion Monday Onyeme, Chief Godswill Obielum, the foremost leader of Ndokwa East PDP family, many members of House of Representatives, commissioners, Special advisers and many top government functionaries and political leaders.

Ezechi, a former commissioner of Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC ) and one-time Executive Assistant to the Governor on youth Development in Delta State, is said to have contributed immensely to support the downtrodden and the less privileged in Delta State and Ndokwa land in particular…

The lawmaker, who was excited with the honour, thanked those who deemed him fit for the honour. He pledged to continue to work round the clock in giving his people a voice.

He said the Chieftaincy title showed that his constituents in Ndokwa land appreciated all he has been doing for them, especially since he has been representing them in the House of Representatives.

Ezechi, who assured his constituents that he would not relent in his efforts to serve the people of the constituency passionately, assured them that the honours bestowed on him by the the kingdom would be a wake-up call for him to do more for his people for the rest of his life.

The deputy governor of the state, His Excellency Sir Lion Monday Onyeme whom graced the occasion with his entourage, described Ezechi as a reliable man who deserved the honour.

“He has a proven track record, and the people can attest to this fact. I am proud of him, and wish him goodness in all his endeavours. He is a good representative of the people, as evidenced in today’s outing, and we can only pray for him to go higher and higher,” he said.

The leader of PDP in Ndokwa East, Chief Godswill Obielum, said: “Rt. Hon. Chief Nnamdi deserves all accolades and encomium he is getting everywhere now. He did not just get here in one day or used money as many normally do to get all these honours; he worked for it.

Also, speaking to press men at the event, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Community Development, Hon. Lucky Dikadi Chukwunedum whom arrived the occasion with hundreds of his supporters said, Did you see the last mega empowerment and palliatives Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi distributed the day he commissioned the Azunze Market?. “No one has ever done so much for us as Chief Nnamdi Ezechi is doing in Ndokwa land, I had been his fan for over 10 years because of his support for the youths in Delta State and beyond. No wonder that title EZE-UDO 1 (king of peace) Odozi-Aku (wealth manager) fit him and his adorable wife perfectly. We will continue to remain loyal and support him in all his endeavors and aspirations.”

The Hon. Commissioner for primary education Dr. Kingsley Nze Ashibogu described Ezechi as ‘simple, calculative and brilliant man in all ramifications .’

The member representing Ndokwa East in the State house of Assembly, Hon. Emeka Osamuta said the federal lawmaker deserved the title the community gave to him as it was earned and not bought.

Also speaking, many of the dignitaries that graced the occasion, said Nnamdi has empowered a lot of youths and the downtrodden on his constituency, hence they came from far in large numbers to honour the occasion.

Also speaking, Hon. Emmanuel Onyeukwu, a leader in the local government and member peace advisory board in Delta state said: “Do you know what we call him? Full Option! All what Ezechi is doing now has never happened here before through any of our representatives. In the last nine months for example, Ezechi has raised and sponsored many motions in the house of representatives that are yielding positive results already in Ndokwa land, from electricity step down in Ndokwa land to various humanitarian welfare motions sponsored by him.

Also speaking the outgoing vice chairman of the PDP in the local government and an aspirant for the partys chairmanship position in the LGA in the forthcoming coming PDP congress, Comrade Henry Emili, A.K.A Atiku, said
“Apart from direct empowerment, Nnamdi Ezechi has helped many contituents in offsetting their school and medical bills, that is the reasons you are seeing thousands smiling faces here.

The ODOZI-AKU 1 of Okpai Kingdom, Chief Mrs. Loveth Ezechi the wife of Rt.Hon. Chief Nnamdi Ezechi whom was elated by the honour given to her and her husband said she wasn’t expecting this kind of honour so early, that it shows that whatever you are doing people are watching. She urged the constituents to always follow the right path in life as just her husband, that in the long run, zeal, dedication and integrity pays.
